Escape the city by hopping on a ferry and exploring the Toronto islands. There's so much to see from amusement parks to beautiful beaches, so we put together a one day itinerary for you to follow.

1. Jack Layton Ferry Terminal to Centre Island
During peak season, the ferry can get quite busy so it’s recommended to catch the ferry before 10 am and return to Toronto by 5:30 pm to avoid crowds. You can also buy tickets online to save time. While you’re on the ferry, get your camera ready for stunning views of the Toronto skyline.

2. Bike around the island
Start your day with a bike ride around the island. At Toronto Island Bicycle Rental you can rent a single bike, a tandem bike, a 2-seater Quadricycle or 4-seater Quadricycle.
3. Centreville Amusement Park
Head over to the Centreville Amusement Park for over 30 rides.
Even if you don't have kids, you'll definitely have a great time. Check out the Sky Ride for a 15 minute long ride and picturesque views of the island and the city skyline.
4. Carousel Cafe
The Carousel Cafe is the perfect spot to grab lunch. It's a relaxing lakeside retreat right next to the amusement park with specialities like loaded nachos, gourmet burgers, and more!
5. Centre Island Beach
If the weather is nice, you'll definitely want to visit the beach. With gorgeous blue skies and peaceful water, you'll forget that you're not too far from the bustling city. You can find changing rooms and lockers next to the pier. There are also lifeguards on duty from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm from June to Labour Day.

6. Centre Island Ferry to Jack Layton Ferry Terminal
After a nice day at Centre Island head back to the ferry terminal to return to the city. Don't worry about buying another ticket because tickets include the return trip. Make sure you check the schedule so you’re not left waiting for long.
7. Ice Creamonology
Before heading home stop by Ice Creamonology for a delicious scoop of ice cream. No summer day is complete without a sweet treat!
