Are you looking for something fun to do in Mississauga? JACKALOPE, Canada’s largest action sports festival, is making its highly anticipated return this summer. Following a successful inaugural event in 2024 that drew over 50,000 attendees, the festival is back for its second year and it promises to be even bigger and better.

Taking place at Celebration Square and Square One Shopping Centre, JACKALOPE is a high-energy, family-friendly event that brings together some of the top athletes in skateboarding, BMX, freestyle motocross, and more. Best of all, admission is completely free, thanks to the support of Visit Mississauga.

In addition to all of the excitement from last summer, they are introducing brand-new elements. Visitors can look forward to thrilling freestyle trampoline demonstrations that push the limits of aerial performance. And if you get inspired while watching the professionals, visitors will also get the chance to try out both trampoline and bouldering for themselves. 

At JACKALOPE, Visit Mississauga is also giving rising athletes from different cultural backgrounds and parts of the world a chance to shine with its golden ticket program, dedicated to finding talented up-and-comers in skateboarding, and giving them the opportunity to compete at the event. 

While you're in Mississauga for the festival, make sure you also save time to explore the city centre. Visitors can also head to Square One Shopping Centre for a little retail therapy or a delicious meal at one of over 100 dining options at the Food District.Just across from Square One, families and fans of all ages can immerse themselves in the brand-new Minecraft Experience. For those interested in fantasy and storytelling, Dungeons & Dragons: The Immersive Experience is also running for a limited time. And if you’re still looking for more to do, hop on an e-bike or scooter, courtesy of Lime or Bird (app download and payment required), to explore picturesque Port Credit.
