There are a lot of events happening in Toronto during April that are completely free and won't make a dent in your wallet. Here are some of the best free things to do in Toronto this April.

1). Pillow Fight at Nathan Phillips Square
Who says that a pillow fight has to be for a slumber party? On April 1st, bring your pillow to Nathan Phillips Square because there's going to be a huge and epic pillow fight party happening at the square. The pillow fight starts at 2 pm and will last for an hour. Don't forget to bring only light featherless pillows and join in the fun.

2). Toronto Beaches Easter Parade
April means Easter, which means that the Easter Parade is returning. Join the Toronto Beaches Easter Parade and watch this annual march around the city. The parade begins at 2:00 pm sharp and will take about 2 hours. The parade will begin on Queen street at Munro Parkand. For the parade route, click here.

3). Enjoy the Cherry Blossoms
Spring is cherry blossom season. Cherry blossom trees in Toronto bloom at the end of April to early May and is a unique spring activity. Whether you’re looking to take some photos of the cherry blossoms or just soak in all the beautiful spring colours, there are many spots in the city where you can find cherry blossom trees. High Park, University of Toronto - Outside of Robarts Library, Trinity Bellwoods Park, York University, Ramsden Park, and Centennial Park are some of our favourite spots.
4). Winter Stations
Winter Stations is wrapping up on April 3rd and if you still haven't had the chance to visit, you still got some time. Winter Stations invite the art and international design community to reimagine the lifeguard stations along the east-end beaches in Toronto for the winter season. Heading into its 7th year, see the new imaginations for the city!

5). Toronto Art Crawl Spring Pop-Up

6). Lumière: The Art of Light

7). Earth Day at Downsview Park

8). Toronto Stationary Show

9). Optik
April 2nd will be the last day to visit Optik, an interactive installation that combines, light, sound, and touch to create this multi-sensory experience at Yonge Dundas Square. Optik will feature 10 gyroscope-like displays that will play the rhythmic sounds of 10 different instruments and shows an array of colours, and rays of light when being moved in a spinning motion. Get to reimagine the area of Yonge-Dundas Square like never before.

10). Toronto Museums
Head over to the ROM. Admissions are free for everyone on the third Tuesday night of each month! If you love all things art, visit the Art Gallery of Ontario!
