Opening back up for the season on June 7, Elora Quarry Conservation Area offers many different activities. Whether you want to swim, hike or picnic, this conservation area is a sight to see. Their large beach area offers easy access to the water and a sandy area for relaxing and tanning. The conservation area has a one kilometer loop trail that goes through cedar forests and overlooks the Grand River. If you’re up for a longer hike, the Elora Cataract Trailway is a 47 kilometer trail linking the Grand and Credit river watersheds. With shaded areas and tables throughout the park, visitors can have their own picnics and use barbecues in the designated picnic areas. Up for a road trip? Take a drive down to Niagra Falls and check out the wineries they have to offer. You can visit up to four or five wineries in a day and will be accompanied by a knowledgeable tour guide. Go on a peaceful hike on the Cliff-Top Side Trail. This trail brings you through Mono Cliffs, one of the most beautiful provincial parks in Ontario. There are a number of views including wooden staircases, forested pathways and views of the lake with crystal clear water.
