Opening back up for the season on June 7, Elora Quarry Conservation Area offers many different activities. Whether you want to swim, hike or picnic, this conservation area is a sight to see. Their large beach area offers easy access to the water and a sandy area for relaxing and tanning. The conservation area has a one kilometer loop trail that goes through cedar forests and overlooks the Grand River. If you’re up for a longer hike, the Elora Cataract Trailway is a 47 kilometer trail linking the Grand and Credit river watersheds. With shaded areas and tables throughout the park, visitors can have their own picnics and use barbecues in the designated picnic areas.
