1. Off-Loom Weaving Workshop
Participants in this off-loom weaving workshop will create large-scale textile art using thick merino wool roving. During the 3-hour session, you’ll learn essential weaving techniques and can choose to craft either an 18"x24" or 36"x48" piece. All materials, including a wood dowel and responsibly sourced merino roving, are provided. No prior experience is required.

2. Otherworld
The Art Museum at the University of Toronto proudly presents Otherworld, the world premiere solo exhibition by artist Camille Turner, running from Sept. 4th, 2024, to March 22nd, 2025, at the University of Toronto Art Centre. Known for blending Afrofuturism and historical research, Turner’s exhibition features new films, installations, and past works. Public programming includes the Afronautic Research Lab, inviting visitors to engage with Black history. This extended exhibition reflects the museum’s commitment to fostering deeper community connections.

3. Dovercourt Sunday Social
Historic Dovercourt House welcomes you back to dance! Join every Sunday from 6 pm to 11 pm for a relaxed evening of social dancing. Start with multi-level dance lessons at 6 pm, led by top Toronto dance schools. Enjoy Salsa in one room with DJ Azh and Bachata in another with DJ Mondo. Cover is $15, with a $5 discount if you arrive before 8 pm.

4. Restorative yoga, breath work and soundbath

5. The Wizard of Oz: A Holiday Musical Panto for All
Get ready for a hilarious and musical twist on The Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy and friends embark on a whimsical adventure through Oz, filled with laughter and mischief. Perfect for audiences of all ages!

6. WinterFest at Canada's Wonderland
Canada’s Wonderland transforms into a magical WinterFest, offering ice-skating, live shows, rides, millions of lights, and hundreds of Christmas trees, including two 50-foot trees. Enjoy festive food, holiday activities, and seasonal shopping in Vaughan, just outside Toronto.

7. Holiday Fair in the Square
The Holiday Fair in the Square is now in North York, turning Mel Lastman Square into a winter wonderland! Explore artisan stalls, relax in the Fireside Lounge with hot chocolate or mulled wine, roast s'mores, and even visit Santa. Don’t miss this festive tradition!

8. National Ballet of Canada’s The Nutcracker
Enjoy the magic of the holidays with James Kudelka’s The Nutcracker! This fun family show starts at a Christmas Eve party, where siblings Marie and Misha meet magical creatures and visit the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy. With Tchaikovsky’s music and lovely costumes, it’s a delightful adventure you won’t want to miss!
