1. High Park
High Park is definitely the best place in the city to see cherry blossoms. It is renowned for its impressive collection of cherry trees which makes it the most popular destination in Toronto. However, this also means it can become quite crowded.
2. Trinity Bellwoods Park
Situated in the heart of downtown, Trinity Bellwoods Park offers a charming display of cherry blossoms. The trees line a walkway, creating a picturesque tunnel of blooms.
3. University of Toronto - St. George Campus
Did you know that you can find cherry blossoms right in the heart of U of T's downtown campus? Their campus is home to several cherry blossom spots, with the area around Robarts Library being particularly notable
4. Edwards Gardens
Located next to the Toronto Botanical Garden, Edwards Gardens features a variety of cherry blossom trees. While this spot is a bit out of the city, it’s perfect for a leisurely stroll among the blooms, complemented by other seasonal flowers and plants.
5. Centennial Park
If you're willing to travel to Etobicoke, Centennial Park boasts a beautiful collection of cherry trees. This is the second-largest cherry blossom collection in the GTA, after High Park. There's also lots of space for picnics and walks under the blossom of trees.
6. Exhibition Place
Did you know that there are a total of 93 cherry trees within Exhibition Grounds? Take a stroll through to find all of them! This is definitely a lesser known spot so you’ll be able to avoid all of the crowds.
7. Cedarvale Park
A quiet park near St. Clair West, Cedarvale has a small but charming collection of cherry trees. They’re near a paved path so it’s the perfect place for a leisurely stroll.
8. York University
York University's Keele Campus is home to several cherry blossom trees, particularly along Campus Walk. The campus provides a peaceful environment to enjoy the blooms away from the more crowded spots.
9. Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre
The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre features a serene garden with cherry blossom trees. This location offers a culturally rich experience, allowing visitors to appreciate the blossoms in a setting that honors their origins.
10. Cherry Street and Villiers Street
Located on Cherry Street, it’s only fitting that this spot would have breathtaking cherry blossoms. There are a total of 45 trees and you’ll also be able to enjoy views of the lake.
