August is around the corner and we've lined up some of the best beaches to visit for those hot summer days.

Woodbine Beach

This is one of the easily accessed beaches in Toronto. Pack a picnic lunch, or grab lunch at the fast food concession, ice-cream truck, or the full-service restaurant nearby.

Bluffer's Park

Bluffer's beach is considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in Toronto. This large beach has everything you need from walking trails to hiking trails to a beach where you can just relax. If you choose to take the hiking trail, the views at the end of the trail are breathtaking.

Sugar Beach

This beach has permanent pink umbrellas set in some of Ontario's softest sand. The beach is located across from the Redpath Sugar factory, hence the name Sugar Beach.

Cherry Beach

This gem of a beach is popular amongst Toronto beaches and has a large grass area behind the beach filled with picnic tables and BBQs, great for an all-day beach trip.

Kew-Balmy Beach

This beach has a calm vibe and more of a local feel, perfect for laying under the sun with a book. This beach is the ideal place to go kiteboarding and on days where the wind is blowing from the west, south, or east, you can see the kiters racing across the waves.

Hanlan's Point, Toronto Islands

Hanlan's Point Beach has some of the best sand on the island. This beach is also one of the best places on the island to see the sunset.

Ward's Island Beach, Toronto Islands

Ward's Island Beach is close to many of the island's best patios so it's the perfect place to tan under the sun and grab a bite to eat at the end of the day. The beach itself is wide and perfect for a stroll down the long boardwalk.
