There are tons of fun things to do in Toronto during spring that are completely free to do! Here's a list of some of our favourite things to do in Toronto during Spring that won't make a dent in your wallet.

1). Enjoy the Cherry Blossom Season
Spring is cherry blossom season. Cherry blossom trees in Toronto bloom at the end of April to early May and is a unique spring activity. Whether you’re looking to take some photos of the cherry blossoms or just soak in all the beautiful spring colours, there are many spots in the city where you can find cherry blossom trees. High Park, University of Toronto - Outside of Robarts Library, Trinity Bellwoods Park, York University, Ramsden Park, and Centennial Park are some of our favourite spots.
2). Doors Open
Doors Open is returning to Toronto this May. For only 2 days, Doors Open Toronto welcomes the public to explore and discover some of Toronto's most loved sites and buildings for free! The event provides access to buildings that aren't usually open to the public or require an admission fee to get in.

3). Lumière: The Art of Light
This annual art event taking place at Ontario Place allows the public to explore the park and immerse in art developed by Ontario artists. Watch Trillium Park celebrate the change of the seasons from winter to spring and see the park be illuminated with light and innovation.

4). Toronto Beaches Easter Parade
April means Easter, which means that the Easter Parade is returning. Join the Toronto Beaches Easter Parade and watch this annual march around the city. The parade begins at 2:00 pm sharp and will take about 2 hours. The parade will begin on Queen street at Munro Parkand. For the parade route, click here.

5). Watch the Sunset at Riverdale Park
If you’re looking for a peaceful way to end the night, catch the sunset at Riverdale Park. The park offers amazing views of the Toronto skyline and is a great location to catch the sun coming down.

6). Explore Riverdale Farm
With the nice weather, why not spend a day at Riverdale Farm? This is a working farm that is located in downtown Toronto. The farm offers free admission and is open 7 days a week year-round.

7). Toronto Art Crawl Spring Pop-Up
If you're in the market for one-of-a-kind items, sculptures, home decor, skin care, and more, then you don't want to miss this pop-up market that is happening for just one day. The event will also feature food vendors and DJ Kid Artik. Make sure you grab your free tickets here.

8). Bike on the Beautiful Bike Trails
Take a bike ride around the city. Toronto offers a variety of biking trails with amazing, and scenic views. We recommend Tommy Thompson Park, Martin Goodman Trail, Beltline Trail, Waterfront Trail, and Lower Don River Trail.
9). Explore Toronto's Beautiful Gardens
Toronto is home to many beautiful parks and gardens. With May being the month when flowers bloom, we recommend heading to Toronto Botanical Gardens to soak in the beautiful spring colours. Toronto Music Garden is also a great location to be in nature while being in the heart of downtown Toronto.
10). Liberty Village Art Crawl
Liberty Village Art Crawl is returning for its 10th year. On June 10th, there will be over 120+ artists taking over The Bentway. The event will be filled with art, design, live music, food, interactive demos, one-of-a-kind items, sculptures, fashion, and skin care vendors. Tickets are free, so make sure you grab yourself a ticket here.

11). The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery
Head to The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery for the Free Power Kids events. From March to May, The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery will be hosting free Power Kids events, like the Power Kids: Rivers of Tkaronto, Power Kids: Clay House, Power Kids: Letters and Words, and Power Kids: Remembering you. All of these events offer free admission and are perfect for the whole family.

12). Free concert series
The free concert series is back in the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre. This series brings together talented artists from all over the world to share their passion! Experience the beauty in the music in this intimate and beautiful space.

13). Explore Toronto's Museums
Head over to the ROM. Admissions are free for everyone on the third Tuesday night of each month! If you love all things art, visit the Art Gallery of Ontario! Every Wednesday from 6 pm-9 pm, there will be free admissions to the collection galleries! Want to experience a house in the past? Visit the Gibson House, a farmhouse in the 19th century. Experience history like never before with an opportunity to taste, smell, and touch in this historical family home.
