7. Team Canada FanFest
With just a few weeks to go until the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is pleased to announce a series of free, family-friendly events across the country for fans to cheer on Team Canada during the Games. Team Canada FanFest, presented in partnership with the Home of Team Canada, Cadillac Fairview, aims to bring fans together to cheer on Team Canada athletes and to celebrate sport in Canada.

8. 5th Annual WAYO Children's Festival
Award-winning arts organization Jamii (meaning “community” in Swahili) presents 5th Annual WAYO Children’s Festival in the heart of Toronto’s historic St. Lawrence Neighbourhood at Berkeley Castle and Berkeley Theatre from August 7th to August 11th. This festival will feature CORPUS, Clay and Paper Theatre, Drawing with Knives Shadows, Germaine Konji, Maulid Owino, Edwin Maina, and many more artists!

12. DQ Miracle Treat Day
Miracle Treat Day returns for the 22nd year on Thursday, August 8. DQ fans in Toronto can support children receiving care through the simple act of purchasing a Blizzard Treat at their local DQ on Miracle Treat Day. The funds raised locally stay local—net proceeds from every Blizzard Treat sold at participating DQ locations in Toronto will be donated to SickKids Foundation, one of 12 Children’s Miracle Network hospital foundations across Canada.
