Set 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts that takes place in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a story that is as fantastical as it is thought-provoking, dealing with the complexity of parenthood, self-acceptance, and a new generation of wizards. When Harry Potter’s head-strong son Albus befriends the son of his fiercest rival, Draco Malfoy, it sparks an unbelievable new journey for them all with potential consequences drastically impacting the past and the future! The theatre has two entrances: the main entrance at 244 Victoria Street, and 263 Yonge Street; the latter has a foyer that will take you into the world of Hogwarts and Harry Potter! This includes a selfie alley with incredible installations, dragon sconces illuminating the halls, a Patronus wall at the grand staircase for an awe-inspiring augmented reality experience, and more. The theatre itself has been transformed, being repainted from its original butterscotch yellow to a brooding colour appropriately called “Witchcraft”, and has been reshaped to create a more intimate experience for theatregoers while highlighting the spectacular illusions in the show! There are also merchandise kiosks for those looking for a whimsical souvenir or an extra present under the tree. Delicious treats can also be enjoyed, which include Butterbeer, jelly beans, Hogwarts candies, and chocolate wands!

“The magic of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child starts as soon as you arrive to the theatre! It was one of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had. There were tons of photo ops and themed installations as soon as you enter in the “selfie alley”. Butterbeer and various other Hogwarts-themed food was available such as chocolate frogs, wands and so much more. The ambiance was amazing; the theatre itself was transformed, painted a darker colour and affixed with dragon sconces. The special effects during the show were like none other I’ve ever seen before - it was truly one of a kind. People of all ages and familiarity levels of Harry Potter would be able to enjoy this show, I highly recommend it to anyone!”
